CloudZero

Like I said in my intro, I like finance and technology. So when Eric, the founder of CloudZero asked to design a platform that would help engineering teams gain visibility into the financial implications of what they were building, I jumped in.

Structural architects generally have an idea what their material costs are. It’s a different story when you’re building software in the cloud. More often than not, you get cost anomalies and spikes that can be tied to very specific features that go unnoticed until the monthly AWS bill arrives.

This platform uses ML to detect anomalies that are then pushed via Slack alerts to engineering teams. The alerts link to the CloudZero  so teams can triage the spike before it turns into a financial disaster.
